Advent Bible Studies

Picture
Throughout the four weeks of Advent, the season leading up to Christmas,  deepen your awareness of Christ's presence through our online and in- person Bible Studies.

Wednesday Morning
In-person: 10am in the first floor meeting room

We are studying forms of prayer and spiritual practices. We'll take a look at the Biblical basis for the ways of praying and incorporate scripture into some of the practices.

Wednesday Evening
Online:  7:30pm via Zoom

We are using the book "By Heart: Conversations with Martin Luther's Small Catechism"  to find a fresh understanding of the small catechism, and the proclamation of the gospel it contains!

For more information, please call the church office or write to [email protected].

Our Advent Wreath

Picture
This is the Advent Wreath you'll find in our sanctuary during the season of Advent. The unbroken circle of greens is an image of ever- lasting life, the crown of Christ, or the wheel of time itself. We use the wreath as a sign that Christ reaches into our time to lead us to the light of everlasting life. The four candles mark the progress of the four weeks of Advent and the growth of light. Its evergreen branches lead us to the evergreen Christmas tree.
