MIDWEEK LENTEN PRAYER
THURSDAYS at 7pm

While you may think of prayer or fasting when you think of Lent, it t is also a time for deepening of community.

The invitation to Lent says, "We are created for communion with God, to love one another, and to live in harmony with creation.”
 
​Each Thursday in Lent, at 7pm, you are invited to reflect on what it means to be in community with one another, with the world, with creation, and with God.

Each week will include a hymn, intercessory prayer on our weekly theme, and an opportunity for communal reflection using Lectio Divina in response to a gospel reading below.

March 10: In community with creation
(Mark 4:35-41)

March  17: ​In community with all the saints
(Mark 9:2-8)

March 24: In community with our neighbor
(Mark 2:1-12 )

March 31: In community with those on the margins
(Mark 5:1-20 )

April 7: In community with Christ

LENT GIVING PROJECT

​Lent is traditionally a time when Christians turn back to God not only through prayer and fasting, but also through giving works of love. Our Lenten Giving Project is to collect food and toiletry items for our neighbors in need.  Our goal is to collect 40 grocery bags before Easter Sunday for local food pantries.

​
​We are collecting: 

• Any non-perishable food item

• Toiletries: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Deodorant, Bar and Liquid Soap, Shampoo/Conditioner, Shaving Cream, Disposable Razors, Toilet Paper, Tissues, Laundry Soap, Dish Soap, Multi-Purpose Cleaners, Disinfectant Wipes, Diapers, Baby Wipes, Feminine Hygiene Products

Donations can be dropped off at the church during church hours: Monday through Thursday from 8am - Noon or Sundays at 10am.
